Bergen Airport (BGO)

Bergen Airport, Flesland (IATA-сode: BGO, ICAO: ENBR) is an international airport and situated at the village of Flesland near Bergen (about 19 km south west of Bergen). It takes about 20-30 minutes from the Bergen Airport to the center of Bergen and depends on the traffic.
About five million passengers path through the Bergen airport every year and most of them go to the Oslo Gardermoen airport. Bergen Airport consists of two terminals, one is used for aircrafts, another for helicopters.
Bergen airport started to work in 1955 and it's one of the busiest airports in Norway. Before 1980's it was used for people to fly to New York.
Now there is one terminal for booth international and domestic flights. It is rather small, so in august 2017 there is a plan to complete a new one. Also by this time Bergen Light Rail will be in touch with Bergen airport.
Bergen airport is very comfortable and well equipped. You can find there different shops with souvenirs and Duty Free shops also.
There are about four and a half thousands parking places. About one hundred and a half are under the roof. Shuttle buses are carrying people from parking to terminal and back.

You can choose flights from such companies as Scandinavian Airlines - SAS, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe at the airport. It’s the most popular way in Europe to go to Oslo airport. Many employees in oil production in the North Sea fly from here.
The airport is opened 24 hours a day. Every hour about twenty aircrafts are serviced for flights. The airport receives direct flights from 36 European cities.


Terminal 1 - The airport currently has a single passenger terminal (for domestic and for international flights). The airport bus stops just outside this terminal.
Terminal 2 - Bergen International Airport also operates a helicopter terminal (about 60 helicopter flights everyday).
